• AI is a tool to assist our work, not replace human creativity, editorial judgment, or accountability.

• Every piece of content published by StoryBytes—including blog posts, feature stories, editorials, opinion pieces, Instagram posts, videos, podcasts, short films, documentaries, comics, cartoons, newsletters, and other multimedia—must be reviewed and approved by a human editor or creator before publication.

• AI may be used to:

  • Brainstorm ideas.

  • Create outlines.

  • Translate content.

  • Produce transcripts and subtitles.

  • Assist with storyboarding and accessibility features

• AI may not be used to:

  • Fabricate interviews, quotations, sources, or evidence.

  • Generate or spread false or misleading information.

  • Create deceptive or manipulated images, audio, or video presented as authentic.

  • Plagiarize or infringe on another person’s intellectual property.

  • Generate images, illustrations, comics, cartoons, or other visual works for publication, except where AI is used solely to enhance, restore, or make technical edits to human-created content.

• Human contributors are responsible for all published content, including its accuracy, originality, fairness, compliance with StoryBytes’ editorial standards, and ensuring they have the legal right to publish any AI-assisted content in accordance with copyright, trademark, privacy, and other applicable laws.

• StoryBytes reserves the right to request disclosure of AI use during the creation of submitted content and may reject or require revisions to content that does not comply with this policy.

• If AI-assisted content contains factual errors or ethical issues, StoryBytes will correct or remove the content in accordance with its editorial standards.

• This policy applies to all StoryBytes staff, editorial board, and guest creators.

• StoryBytes will review and update this policy as AI technology, legal requirements, and industry best practices evolve,
